Uses Of Tamsulosin 0.4mg Tablets

Tamsulosin is a type of medicine that belongs to the class of alpha-blockers. It is used to treat men who have symptoms of benign prostatic enlargement (a type of enlarged prostate). Tamsulosin may also be used on an occasional basis to treat kidney stones or prostatitis. A prostatic enlargement is an enlargement of the prostate gland. This can cause the urinary stream to be weak or to stop and restart. In some instances, it can cause infections, urinary stones, and impaired kidney function. As an alpha blocker, Tamsulosin helps to relax the muscles surrounding the bladder exit and the prostate gland, making it easier for urine to pass. This helps to empty the bladder, reducing the need for frequent or urgent urination in BPH. You will notice a change in your urine flow within 4-8 hours, but it may take up to 2-4 weeks for the sound effects to be noticed.
