Uses of Telmisartan 40mg Tablets

 Uzitel-40 Tablets stop a chemical that is responsible for tightening the blood vessels and interrupts the blood flow in the body, especially in the brain and mind which leads to many critical health problems like High blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, heart attack and stroke. These tablets are also used for chronic kidney disease.  Uzitel-40 relaxes blood vessels, lowering blood pressure and allowing blood to flow more freely to different organs and your heart to pump more effectively reducing the chances of heart failure and balancing the high blood pressure.  Telmisartan comes under the category of medicines called angiotensin receptor. Uzitel-40 Helps to reflexes the tight blood vessels and boosts blood flow to the earth. Here is the use of this tablet –

  • Hypertension

Side Effects 

Telmisartan 40mg Tablets may cause side effects. Inform your doctor if you notice any of these symptoms getting severe. Some side effects can be serious. stop taking Uzitel-40 Tablets and inform your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication like: – 

  • constipation
  • Nausea
  • vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Upper respiratory tract infection
  • Back pain
  • Sinus inflammation
  • Skin ulcer
  • Intermittent claudication

Precautions 

  • Do not take anti-inflammatory medicines such as ibuprofen along with Telmisartan without consulting your doctor.
  • Uzitel-40 Tablets may raise your blood potassium levels. It would be better not to take any additional potassium supplements or foods like bananas and broccoli.
  • Do not  stop taking the medicine without talking to your doctor. Stopping suddenly can raise your blood pressure, which can be dangerous for you.
  • Telmisartan can worsen kidney problems, so you should consult your doctor if you experience swelling in the feet, ankles, or hands, or unexplained weight gain.
  • Telmisartan doesn’t treat high blood pressure, but it does control it. Therefore, you may need to take it for the rest of your life.
  • Since telmisartan may reduce blood glucose levels in diabetic patients, it is important to monitor your blood glucose levels regularly. If you are diabetic, consult your doctor as your insulin or antidiabetic medications may need to be adjusted.

Direction To Use

  • Do not consume Telmisartan or any other medicine on your own. Medicines should be taken as doctor’s recommendations only. 
  • Generally, Telmisartan should be taken once a day, usually in the morning or evening. Take a glass of water to swallow the entire tablet. 
  • Avoid chewing, crushing, or breaking the tablet. 
  • Uzitel-40 Tablets can be taken with food or on an empty stomach as your doctor suggested. 
  • Better to set a fixed time to take the medicine at the same time regularly.
