Description
Torsemide 10mg Tablets Uses
Torsemide reduces the amount of excess fluid (edema) in the body, caused by diseases such as heart disease, liver disease, and kidney disease. This helps to reduce symptoms such as breathlessness and swelling in the arms, legs, and abdomen. It is also used as a treatment for high blood pressure, which helps to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or kidney problems. Torsemide is one of a group of medications known as diuretics, which are “water pills” that cause your body to produce more urine. It does this by causing your kidneys to remove unneeded salt and water from your body into your urine.
When left untreated, high blood pressure can damage your brain, heart, and blood vessels, as well as your kidneys and other organs in your body. To keep your blood pressure in check, not only do you need to take medication, but you also need to make healthy lifestyle changes. These include eating a low-fat, low-sodium diet, staying within a healthy weight range, exercising for at least half an hour most days, abstaining from smoking, and drinking in moderation. Follow exactly what your doctor tells you to take. Generally, you should take it once a day, preferably at about the same time every day. it causes excessive urination, so it should always be taken in the morning.
